A man who helped students plan and prepare for college was found shot to death in his East Side apartment this morning. Columbus police detective Wayne Buck said Bobby D. Williams, 36, was found in Apartment C at 5570 Beverly Hills Dr., in an apartment complex near I-270 and E. Broad Street. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The first Stark County Traffic Crash Memorial/Empty Plate Dinner was held Thursday at the AA Executive Event Center in Perry Township. Each crash victim was represented with an empty place setting that included their name. Since 2000, 157 people have died in alcohol-related crashes in Stark.
