Description:
This new butterfly house has been designed as a habitat for native Ohio butterflies. Once you enter, you will experience colorful and fragrant plants and flowers, with numerous species of butterflies roaming freely from flower to flower. A primary goal for this facility is to provide the experience of learning about butterflies and their habitat; the interdependencies that exist in our local ecosystems; and the role of native Ohio plants.
The landscaping surrounding the butterfly house will include a raised garden designed specifically for the physically challenged. These beds will provide a sensory experience of fragrance, texture, sound and colorful flowers and butterflies.
