“The school day is from 8:30 to 4:15. MUCH too long. I believe that, because there are so many problem children, a lot of the teachers forget to separate them from the children who try hard in school. I was at the school every day, and it saddened me to hear what the children had to deal with. While there are many dedicated teachers there, it is sad that the bad ones over-shadow them. I also believe that the principal fails to address these problem teachers, so they have no fear of consequence. This causes them to treat our poor children how ever they please.”

“My daughter is just finishing up eighth grade at Hope. I have found she has become more respectful and outgoing during her time at Hope and would recommend this school over any of the Canton city Schools. If you want to see something special take a trip to the school and watch the kids scramble to the side to make room for adults in a hallway. I do not believe you will find a more dedicated teaching staff in any other school in the area. My only problem with the school is it only goes to eighth grade, so now we have to find a alternative for next year.”

“Good academic programs, no sports or official band classes, just basic music and PE. 2 on a scale of 1 -10 for parent involvement. I had 2 children that attended this school, and was happy with the staff, but felt that the children of the school were extremly tough for the staff to deal with. It seemed that almost everyday my children were telling me about the discipline problems on the bus and in the class rooms, more than what was learned in school. I actually visited the school on more than one occasion and felt all the teachers should get a pay raise for just having to deal with the 'problem children' so to speak. Very little parent involvement which is too bad because the school really could make a difference if it had more support from the parents in disciplining and addressing of problems with the kids.”
