Hatton Elementary School Reviews

The quality of academic programs are okay as well as the availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities. Parent involvement is okay also.

hatton elementary, has exceeded my expectations for an elementary school. the principal, teachers, and parents all care and put an honest effort to teach and hepl the children grow into responsible adults! thanks hatton! michelle nance

I think that Hatton Elementary school is a great school in the Akron Schools Cluster. My two older kids went to Hatton and are now both in high school. I now have a younger child at Hatton. The school does a great job of teaching the kids and involving them in activities and programs at the school. There is also fantastic parental involvement at the school. You are never discouraged from attending field trips or programs at the school. They are always asking for volunteers to help read to and tutor the students who need a little 'extra' help. The kids also have art, music, gym and LRC once every week. The teachers really care about the kids. I have teachers that are now teaching my younger child still asking how my older two are doing! They still remember them after 10 years!

Principal Cynthia Wilhite has created an excellent environment for staff and students to excel. She has excellent communication skills and makes herself available to teachers, parents and students. There is a strong sense of community and pride at the school. Academic achievement is stressed. Every day, the children reinforce their commitment to learning by reminding themselves and others that they 'are there to learn, do their best, act responsibly, respect their teachers and other adults and to treat their classmates with kindness.' Overall, It is a great school.
